The film tells the unfortunate experience of a pair of lovers during the Battle of Passchendaele, which shocked the world. The Battle of Passchendaele in history broke out on July 31, 1917 and lasted until November 6. The warring parties, Britain and Germany, experienced a tug-of-war for more than four months. The British army hoped to capture Passchendaele in Belgium to destroy the German submarine base there. As a result, thousands of soldiers were killed in the attack and defense - 325,000 Allied casualties and 260,000 German casualties. This extremely tragic war ended with the British army capturing Passchendaele. The filming period of the film lasted for two years.
