Adapted from "Lian Xiang in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio", the film tells the story of Sang Ziming who returns to his hometown of Qilin Town after passing the imperial examination to find his lover Lianxiang to marry. He is also tasked with the secret mission of finding the "Qilin Jade Bead" and investigating whether the missing case is related to the rumored fox demon. However, after meeting Lianxiang, Sang Ziming finds that she is completely different from the past. When he is looking for the truth, there is always a white-haired fox demon following him. As the case progresses, all signs point to Lianxiang, and behind all this is inextricably linked to the palace. There is an invisible big hand controlling everything...
