The story takes place in Taiwan, my country. Yu Zai (played by Zhang Yanming) was tempted by a large sum of money to assassinate a member of parliament. Unexpectedly, a stray bullet hit the wife of police officer Agou (played by Chen Enfeng), Meiping (played by Bai Xinhui). His daughter Peipei (played by Chen Shiying) was so frightened that she became autistic. Agou vowed to catch the murderer and avenge his wife. Sizhi was mistakenly killed by the police as the murderer, but Agou concluded that the real murderer was someone else. On this day, Yu Zai and Agou met unexpectedly and found that they were fellow villagers many years ago. When he realized that Yu Zai was the real murderer, Yu Zai had already swam away quickly. Yu Zai abducted Peipei and sneaked back to his long-lost hometown.
