In order to receive a house he won in a lottery, young Zhang Baogen (played by Jiang Wu) left his hometown and came to Shanghai. Although Shanghai is big, the only place Baogen can go is his young aunt Jinfang (played by Tao Hong). Jinfang is a calculative person. After collecting the rent for Baogen, she reluctantly took him in, but she still ridiculed Baogen's honest and rustic nature from time to time.
