In other words, it is a story about never giving up chasing dreams. What inspired Lonely Planet? We both grew up in a small town in southern Norway called Sandfjord. We never had anything else to do, no other way of life, except for film. But when we were kids, the story of Lonely Planet inspired us to chase our dreams, no matter how far-fetched they were, and never give up. We hope that this film will inspire people to take risks. To conquer the Matterhorn, to sail in Cuba, to drive Route 66, whatever it is, just follow your dreams. What was the biggest challenge in the preparation? There were many, and it was a complete mess at the beginning. This was the most complex filmmaking process we have ever experienced, and fortunately, we had a lot of great people around us. Who influenced us during the filming? Jaws, of course, is one of the greatest films ever made. We kept looking to films from the 80s and 90s for inspiration.
