"Larry Crow" is directed and acted by Tom Hanks. After retiring from the Navy, Larry (Tom Hanks) worked diligently in the store for more than 20 years. He is kind and almost never loses his temper. He is a star staff member. Customers like him and his boss appreciates him. But the layoff storm still made him lose his job. In his spare time, he signed up for the college in the local community and soon made good friends with all kinds of people. There are homeless people and children from slums. Everyone hopes to come here to improve their lives. In the public speaking class, Larry unexpectedly fell in love with his teacher Mercedes (Julia Roberts).
