Jeremy, an unemployed baker, returns to his hometown. After attending the funeral of his mentor, whom he had been obsessed with, he decides to stay at his mentor's wife's house to accompany her for a few more days. He seems to have a kind of magical charm that fascinates all the residents of the town, except for his mentor's son Vincent, who is hostile to him. After an argument, Vincent dies unexpectedly.
